Eligibility Criteria for PG Diploma in HIV Medicine (PGDHIVM)
1. Graduation (B.Pharm.)/MBBS/Medical, completed from a recognized university.
2. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.

1. Colleges publish admission notices on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
6. Documents like mark sheets, photographs, signatures and transfer certificates must be scanned and uploaded online to the portal.
7. All documents must be in a specific format and size only to be accepted.

Candidates who complete this course can do the Community care centres to provide psychosocial support, ensure drug adherence, treatment of OIs, and track the “lost to follow-up” cases. Link ART centres and ART plus centres have also been established for the decentralization of first-line and second-line treatment services.
The students could then manage patients at the primary level health setup or at any other setup where they are normally posted. This could also be a clinic/health setup run by the student himself where he/she tries to practice the skills, learned in higher setups, without any supervision.
